Year 8 Rounders Joy!

The year 8 rounders team was involved in a Dixons Cup tournament yesterday at Dixons McMillan. It was their first set of fixtures of the year and it was their first game together as a team. Every single one of the girls were superb from start to finish and a credit to the academy, especially for how polite they were and encouraging of the opposition!

The girls managed to come away with 3 wins from 3 games, winning each fixture by at least 3 rounders. We successfully beat Dixons Trinity, McMillan and Unity and as a result it takes DCA above Dixons Trinity Chapeltown back to the top of the standings in the Dixons Cup, with a cricket and rounders tournament remaining before finishing the year at the DAT Athletics Championships in Manchester.
