Dixons City Academy named lead school for music by West Yorkshire Music Hub

We're delighted to announce that Dixons City Academy has been selected as a lead school for music by the West Yorkshire Music Hub. As one of only 18 schools chosen across five local authority areas, our cademy will play a significant role in supporting and championing music education across the region.

As a lead school, we will:

• Act as an ambassador for high-quality music education
• Support other schools in improving their music provision, both within the curriculum and through extracurricular activities
• Help the West Yorkshire Music Hub better understand the needs of schools and how to work with them to improve musical outcomes for children and young people
• Facilitate collaboration and professional development among music teachers across the region

This recognition highlights our longstanding commitment to excellence in music and performing arts. It is also a reflection of the dedication and passion of the wider music team across our trust, who work tirelessly to enhance opportunities for our students in and beyond the classroom.

We are delighted by this opportunity to contribute to the development of music education across West Yorkshire and look forward to working alongside our partners in the region.
