Sadia Afzal


Assistant Principal, Post 16

Sadeia is a proud Bradfordian, she went to Rhodesway Upper School (now Dixons Allerton Academy) where she studied her GCSE and A Levels in English Literature, Sociology and Economics. She then graduated with a Degree in Combined Social Sciences and Law Studies. 

Sadeia joined Dixons City Technology College (now Dixons City Academy) as an NQT in 2000. During this time Sadeia worked as an ICT teacher and went on to lead the department in her fourth year of teaching.  The department grew and Sadeia developed it into and outstanding Faculty with some of the best attainment and progress results in the academy.  She later joined the Senior Leadership Team, first as Associate Assistant Vice Principal with responsibility for new staff and NQTs. 

In 2016 Sadeia became an Assistant Principal and took on responsibility for the Sixth Form at Dixons City Academy.  Since then, she has led the Sixth Form to consistently improve outcomes and progress.  in November 2018, for the first time in the school's history, Post 16  achieved an outstanding Ofsted rating.
