Matthew Sanderson
Vice Principal
Matt qualified as a PE teacher in 2006 having completed the Graduate Teacher Programme. Matt moved to Dixons City Academy in 2016 following successful spells teaching in two large high schools, where he held the position of Head of Year, Assistant Principal and Deputy Headteacher.
As an Assistant Principal at his first school Matt led on data and student outcomes and was part of a senior team that led the school to record breaking results and established the school as one of the top performing schools in the local area. Later, as Deputy Headteacher Matt was able to drive improvement in student outcomes and pastoral care.
When the opportunity came to work in a similar role at Dixons City Academy the pull was too great and he is extremely proud to be Vice Principal in a school helping to ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve excellence.
