Choices & Blocking

All level 3 advanced courses requires students to achieve a minimum of 5 good (C or above) GCSEs.  These will normally require a 5 in English and Maths. In addition to this most Advanced level subjects have individual minimum requirements above the 5 Cs at GCSE.  These additional course requirements are listed here.

Below are the courses that are on offer for the academic year 2018-19.  You do not have to pick from all 4 blocks and you will only be able to study one course from each block.  Most students will choose three subjects.  All A Level courses have individual entry requirements - any offer made on these will be provisional.  Confirmation will be given when you receive your GCSE results.  All applications are dealt with on an individual basis and each student's academic record will be carefully considered before any offer is made. Please note that it is our aim to run all of these courses on a normal school-day timetable – however we cannot guarantee this due to staffing and numbers.  This means that some classes may be taught in twilight sessions and some courses may not run.

NB: Courses may not run if numbers mean that they are not viable.
